Wanting to explore different musical directions was also something the creative in him was craving. “Despite loving creating pop music, I wanted to do something close to my heart, something soulful for the generation that is mostly plugged into beats- also I am influenced immensely by musicians such as Saleem Merchant and AR Rahman, who are known as legendary artists who have mastered all genres”. Thus came the concept for ‘Ya Ali, combining his genre defying musical craft with a spiritual motivation.
